Angel has come into season. It’s been 9 days. We are breeding her with Blu. It’s not time and he is DRIVING me insane and I think he’s a bit insane himself. I can’t wait until this is over!!!

I ran the Labrador Retrievers on school blinds today. All 3 Labradors did rather well. No whistle blows on any of the dogs. Blu didn’t even break. For those of you who know Blu, I’m sure you just fell off of your chair reading this!
After we ran, we got out the mower and mowed 5 blind tracks for the dogs to run on tomorrow. I took these photos with my phone and it was overcast. Maybe I’ll be able to get some better photos with my phone tomorrow.
Have a good night folks and I’ll see you at the line soon!

Ho Hum. Last night when I went to bed, the above photo is what I saw. I was thinking, “Where am I going to sleep?” I don’t think they are spoiled at all.
Can you imagine what it’s going to be like when I have a litter of little black and yellow Labrador Retrievers running around?

No doves for Blu Sunday. They didn’t get a shot off. No doves were flying. He and Kimber will both be going hunting this weekend so hopefully they will get to retrieve some doves.

1st Battalion 9th Marine Dog Handlers
This is a fine group of Marines. They are serving our country in Afghanistan. On the bottom row, kneeling to the far right with his Yellow Labrador Retriever, Thor is Sgt. Perla. Sgt. Perla was injured in a firefight several days ago and is being flown home to the United States.
Please send your prayers out daily for this group of Marines and their dogs. Please send special prayers to Sgt. Perla so that he will recover soon.
I miss this group of Marines and think of them daily praying for their safe return home.
God Bless each of you.

The other day, Mickey and Noah were out in the field across from the house playing baseball as well as they could with 2 people.
I took Kimber out to air her and we went to watch the kids play. Noah pitched the ball and Kimber wanted to play. I wanted to help so I pitched and let the kids bat. Kimber sat next to me on the mound. If one of the kids missed the ball when trying to hit it, Kimber went to retriever the ball. She brought it back to me most times.

Kimber
Mickey hit a ball out into the field and Kimber retrieved it, brought it to me and we held Mickey at second base. Noah was up to bat again. He finally hit the ball after missing it several times while Kimber retrieved it for me. When he hit the ball into the field, Kimber retrieved it and chased Noah around the bases. She missed tagging him by probably 4-6 inches near home plate.

Kimber
You and I know that Kimber didn’t know to tag Noah and she wasn’t even trying. She was just chasing him having a ball in doing so. However, she sure looked as if she knew what she was doing in trying to tag him. It was a sight to see.
With Kimber helping me, we held the kids between 1st and 2nd base several times. Noah, Mickey and Kimber had a ball and I nearly rolled on the ground giggling and laughing watching this beautiful chocolate Labrador retriever playing baseball with the children. The children had just as much fun playing baseball with their beloved Labrador as they would have had playing with a whole team of people.
We played baseball with a yellow ball that was more like a Nerf ball, not a baseball but it was the size of a baseball.

Kimber
The next time the kids play ball, I’ll have to take some photos so I can post them here for everyone to see. I’m sure we will have a game taking place on Saturday.

Angel

Blu
I worked dogs this morning and photographed this evening. The sun was rather bright but it wasn’t high enough. I will post some photos here from today but I have to take them over earlier in the day tomorrow or Wednesday.
Off to read a little bit of James Spencer and then off to bed.

Blu
I’m leaving in a few to help Peg for starters. Then training my Labradors. Not too sure of how the rest of the day will go. Some of it is up in the air yet.
Mom is coming over for the day and wants to teach me to play some card game that uses 5 decks of cards…..? Sounds crazy to me. I’m not one to sit and play cards for a long period of time.
I also have some reading I want to finish up today….James Spencer. I love his retriever books. He not only explains the how but he explains why you do or train the way you do and why the dog needs to be trained that way.
I’ll be back soon. Until then…..have a great day.

Labor Laws are put in place for a reason. One of the reasons is to keep employees safe from being demoralized by their immediate boss, other employees and team leaders. It’s to keep them from having to work in a hostile work environment.
Please reply to this and let me know what you would do if your immediate supervisor yelled at you, dropped the “F Bomb” all over you cussed you in front of other employees. Would you be humiliated? Would you yell back or would you take it? What if one of the people in management called you an “effing idiot” in a restaurant in front of other employees?
How would you feel if your immediate boss made fun of your weight or your hair even after you told him to stop? What would you do? What would you say? Who would you say it to? Please comment and let me know what you would do.
The above comments weren’t directed to just one employee, they were made to various employees by various management personnel. Do you believe this kind of behavior is professional and acceptable?
Now, what would you do if this boss worked for a civilian contractor hired by the United States Military? Should the United States Military associate with a contractor who is capable of this kind of unprofessional demoralizing behavior?
We want to know. Please give us your opinion.
